The 1st one drops 1.5 to 5 minutes from the start, 2nd one drops 5 to 7 minutes from the start, 3rd 7 to 10 minutes and the 4th 10 to 15 minutes.
These are chests which land on the map up to 4 times per game. On the 6th of July 2021 chest tiering was updated so that the more challenging chests are always Tier 2. The beta testing phase ended on the 27th of May 2021. More information on these features can be seen on their own pages. The Minigame Cosmetics were also changed into a new system where there are many new options to choose from. Many new systems, such as Quests, Minigame Achievements, Voting Villager and Tokens were added. This means that players can choose a game to spectate from the Minigame Lobby. Spectating was also made possible for players who haven't been part of the game. They could also view the inventories of players and disable seeing other spectators as ghosts. Spectators could now edit their spectating settings, such as their fly speed (Speed 1, 2 or 3) and enable Night Vision. Minigame Abilities and Perks remained available but were changed a bit.Ī major change was made with spectating. These included Blaze and Skeleton Spawn Eggs and the Tier 3 chest. In addition, some perks which were purchasable from Merchants were removed. The several donator perks such as Wolf Spawnegg, Tracking Compass and the /workbench command were however removed. The main gameplay stayed relatively same. At the start of the game lightning effect creates the spawn chests and a countdown begins. The chest tiering was made more clear by making the chests say if they are Tier 1 or Tier 2. 14 new maps were also added, and the map Demons Breeze was added back. This feature was however removed in June 2021. The chests used to be filled with SG-themed items but players couldn't edit the contents of the chests. This lobby has a parkour and a map voting hologram, similar to the old lobby. The amount of required players was changed to 12.Ī new waiting lobby was added. The chests would also refill after 10 and 14 minutes. The games were made to be 15 minutes long instead of 30 minutes. Staff members go to beta test the new Survival Games on the 4th of May 2021. The entire backend of the game was remade and new features were added at the same time.
MINIGAME LOBBY S MINECRAFT UPDATE
This update brought huge changes into the Minigame. It was added back as a revamped version the next day, on the 21st of May 2021. Survival Games was temporarily removed for the Minigame Revamp on the 20th of May 2021. The ability to vote for maps was added on the 29th of June 2017, along with a new waiting lobby. On the 31st of May 2017 an explosion sound was added to inform players of a death. On the 30th of May 2017 a lightning effect was added when players died. Team Survival Games was removed on the 29th of January 2019 due to unpopularity. Otherwise the game worked similarly to the Solo Survival Games. There were 12 teams in a game of Team Survival Games. The players could use /team NAME to find themselves a pair.
On the 29th of May 2017 Team Survival Games was added. If the deathmatch ends with multiple players alive, the player with the most kills wins. Deathmatch also naturally starts if there are 3 players left. If 15 minutes has passed and there are still over 3 players alive, an automatic deathmatch will start. The chests refill after 10 and 14 minutes. There are chests around the maps in which players can find food, armour and weapons. Players try to kill others and also fight against starvation. The idea of Survival Games is to be the last player standing. It was changed to 15 players on the 13th of March 2018 and to 12 players on the 21st of May 2021. The requirement was changed to 24 with the SG update of 29th of May 2017. The amount of required players used to be 6 but was increased to 10 at the same time when the Minigame Lobby was added to Survival Games on the 16th of June 2016. A maximum of 24 players may play at one arena at the same time, and 12 players are required to start the game. Survival Games is one of the Minigames of Minecraft Central.
